Magnetic field description for IR1region

The IR1 region is submitted to a magnetic field due to the quadrupole magnets, the solenoid field from ATLAS.

   analytic description

It is only valid inside the BP vacuum chamber

  • 4 layer quadrupole ( KEK magnet)
  • 2D description
  • Defocussing magnet for the proton going towards the IP
  • Focussing magnet for the debris coming out from the IP

FLUKA needs a magfld routine to describe all the different magnetic fields in the insertion region. Different routines have been created for different configurations.
