Magnetic
field description for IR1region
|
The IR1 region is submitted to a magnetic
field due to the quadrupole magnets, the solenoid field from
ATLAS.

FLUKA needs a magfld routine to describe all
the different magnetic fields in the insertion region.
Different routines have been created for different
configurations.

Descriptions |
magfld_2mqx_dp.f
30/03/07 |
- analytic description of
the solenoid field for ATLAS ( update correction for the
radius parameter in m in the analytical definition)
- 2 types of quadrupole
MQXA ( Q1 and Q3 ) and MQXB (Q2a qnd Q2b) are described,
with the magnetic configuration FDDF for the debris
coming out form the IP.
