How to compare measurements at Accel and at CERN:

The reference system for the measurements at Accel and at CERN are not the same.

Patrick will make best fits on existing measurements from Accel using D-points and the flanges to compare data. Since the flange may move, this is not ideal.

To compare the measurements we would need 3 extra reference points at the flat end cover (the two thread-holes are not good enough).  Michele and Patrick will make tests on 3 cold masses with these 3 extra measurement points mounted on 3 Quadrupole cold masses. Patrick will make a measurement at reception (tubes and “D-points”) and a fiduzialization after cold test and compare the mean planes by fitting the 3 “D-points” and the 3 new measurement points on the flat end cover. If this test shows that we can compare measurements with this method, Karl will discuss with Accel about the possibility to make these 3 measurement point available in industry.

Accel does not open NCs for bellows since they are flexible. No hard tolerances are imposed on the bellow at Accel, this has never been specified.

Patrick will measure both flange and bellow for some SSS to compare data. To measure the bellow is not easy since it is flexible and no adequate tooling exists.

The MSCB problem was briefly discussed. Elena will look at the magnetic and the geometric axes over the correctors. Elena will make statistics of all flanges and lines and send to Karl. With this information we can go further.
