Main Dipoles MD Section

Mandate

·     Technical specifications, procurement and industrial follow-up, of the main dipole cold masses, with the technical responsibility for the conformance to design and acceptability of the cold masses.

·     If needed, introduce the necessary technical modifications in the dipole cold mass generated by the structural design follow-up.

·     Validate (together with MA section) the dipole cold masses and ensure their timely delivery to CERN.

·     Control the cost of the construction of the main dipoles, by proper monitoring of extra works and CERN contribution, and take all actions to stay in the allocated budget.

·     Provide all data for MTF and database on main dipoles, and using the tools provided by LO, ensure the proper traceability of all Non Conformities and Change Notices.
