This web site contains updated graphs of field quality measured in the Large Hadron Collider Dipoles at the manufacturers, global beam dynamics targets and finally warm-to-cold correlations as measured at cold in CERN. Instructions: to reduce the probability of activating IE and Excel bugs, please do not open files from your browser but save them on your disk (on IE, place your mouse on the link, then right mouse and Save target as ...). Then, please open them with the disabled macro and no update options. You need a NICE password to download the files. For problems in file downloading please contact authors. Collared coils and cold masses are identified by a progressive number, whose correspondence to the magnet name can be found in the Log file of the measurements and of the holding point. Excel files with magnetic measurements of each collared coil or cold mass at room temperature can be found in the LHC main dipole data repository. Measurements and post-processing of raw data are carried out through instrumentation and personnel of the AT-MTM-AS section. Control limits based on beam dynamics are worked out using correlations to magnetic measurements at 1.9 K carried out by AT-MTM. Some of the data is available in two different formats.
Disclaimer: Please note that these measurements are the result of the efforts and collaboration of many people. However these results are not final. You can consult data, but before using them you are kindly requested to ask permission from the authors. Field quality newsletter (PDF format)
